Ludomir Różycki (1883-1953) was one of the most prominent Młoda Polska [Young Poland] composers and the author of several large-scale symphonic works, operas, ballets, chamber and solo music. The Różycki Collection was given to PMC by Matt Newcomb in 2005 and 2008. Highlights of the Collection include:
- Correspondence from the 1920s and 1930s in Polish and English to private persons, including Lola Kinel and Mr. Abel, and various organizations
- Photographs of the composer (sepia and black and white), some signed
- Photographs from Warsaw Opera’s performance of Pan Twardowski with details about the performers
- Booklets and leaflets in Polish, German and French relating to Pan Twardowski, Casanova, Eros i Psyche, Beatrix Cenci
- Press clippings and reviews
- Catalogues of works, issued by Gebethner and Wolff, Warsaw, that also include articles and reviews of Różycki’s works in Polish, German and French
