The 42nd General Assembly of the Polish Composers’ Union (ZKP), held on June 13–14, 2025, concluded with the election of new leadership and the conferral of honorary memberships.
Four distinguished figures of Polish music—Zbigniew Bargielski, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Teresa Malecka, and Marta Ptaszyńska—have been named Honorary Members of ZKP, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the field.
Beata Bolesławska-Lewandowska, a noted musicologist and longtime chair of the ZKP Musicologists’ Section, was elected as the new President of the Union.
The new ZKP Executive Board includes:
- Vice Presidents: Mateusz Ryczek and Wojciech Widłak
- Secretary General: Ignacy Zalewski
- Treasurer: Jarosław Siwiński
- Members of the Presidium: Marcel Chyrzyński and Alicja Gronau-Osińska
- Board Members: Marcin Bortnowski, Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska, Marcin Krajewski, Iwona Lindstedt, Żaneta Rydzewska, and Marcin Trzęsiok
Additionally, on June 15, the Musicologists’ Section held its own assembly and elected the following board:
- Chair: Iwona Lindstedt
- Vice Chair: Agnieszka Draus
- Secretary: Barbara Mielcarek-Krzyżanowska
- Deputy Secretary: Marcin Trzęsiok
- Treasurer: Rafał Ciesielki
- Members: Violetta Przech and Sławomira Żerańska-Kominek
