The 9th Emanacje Festival will be held on 4 July – 29 August, 2021 at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice. With works performed by outstanding artists, the three strands of this year’s edition will create extraordinary contexts and interesting repertoire compilations.

The Polish Radio Amadeus Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Agnieszka Duczmal and the Aukso Orchestra conducted by Marek Moś will inaugurate the Festival. The main events of this year’s edition will be performed by leading Polish string orchestras, among others, the New Music Orchestra, Primuz Chamber Orchestra and Penderecki Youth Orchestra. Audiences will hear Krzysztof Penderecki‘s compositions alongside works by Grażyna Bacewicz, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Wojciech Kilar, Eugeniusz Knapik, Andrzej Krzanowski, Aleksander Lasoń, Wojciech Lemański, Piotr Moss, and Karol Szymanowski.

The second axis of the festival consists of piano recitals by the Polish participants in the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition. The list of performers includes Adam Kałduński, Zuzanna Pietrzak, Piotr Aleksewicz, Andrzej Wierciński, Jakub Kuszlik, Aleksandra Świgut and Marcin Wieczorek.

The festival program will be complemented by interesting accompanying events of a slightly “lighter” nature: jazz concerts as part of the Seifert Jazz Days, a recital by Adam Makowicz, and a concert by participants of Adam Sztaba’s workshops. The organisers also invite you to visit a multimedia exhibition “Krzysztof Penderecki – the heritage of Polish music of the 20th and 21st centuries” and take a walk in the famous Penderecki Arboretum.
