The Music Library of the Polish Composers’ Union (ZKP)—known as the Polish Music Information Center POLMIC, a sister organization of the USC Polish Music Center—has received the status of a scientific library. The determination was made by the Vice President of the Council of Ministers, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, and Professor Piotr Gliński on the basis of the regulation of April 2, 2012.
Previously, the application for inclusion among the scientific libraries was assessed by the National Library Council. At present, 33 libraries classified as scientific libraries in the whole country have been included in the list constituting an attachment to the Ministry’s regulation—these libraries are listed here: www.bn.org.pl.
