The 6th edition of the Henryk Mikołaj Górecki Contemporary Music Festival was held in Kraków on October 29-30, 2016. The festival commemorates Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, whose work has been and continues to be inspiring to many composers. Concerts provide audiences with an opportunity to hear and get to know the latest trends in contemporary classical music presented by such performers as Opium String Quartet and Amadrums. The program of this year’s Festival included works by Sławomir Czarnecki, Maciej Małecki, Andrzej Panufnik, Peter Klatzov, Soo Jin Kang, Tobias Bostrom, Andrew Beall, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Peter Warlock, Javier Alvarez, Maciej Hałoń, and John Psathas.
