Two distinguished guests from Poland and Ukraine paid a courtesy call at PMC in early August. Adam Bala, Director of the Discovering Paderewski Festival, and Marianna Humetska, Artistic Director of the same Festival, came on a brief visit to California and were given a tour of the Polish Music Center and the USC campus. During lunch with Director Marek Zebrowski and Assistant Director Krysta Close, subjects of closer cooperation between the institutions represented by both parties were discussed.
After signing the PMC guestbook, Mr. Bala and Ms. Humetska departed for California’s Central Coast and meetings with the board of the Paderewski Festival in Paso Robles. Both visitors also participated in the summer fundraiser held at a private residence in Paso and enjoyed some sightseeing in Cambria and Los Angeles before departing on August 10 for New York City.
