The Musical Gardens [Ogrody Muzyczne] Festival is held annually in the courtyard of the Royal Castle in Warsaw. This year’s Festival began on June 27 and will continue until July 19. Its current 14th edition honors Italy and her cultural heritage and recognizes Italy’s presidency of the European Union during the second half of this year. With a rousing subtitle, “Evviva l’arte,” the program includes presentations of well-known operas, ballets, film screenings, and other art-related happenings with the Italian flavor.

Polish composer Zygmunt Krauze has served for many years as Music Director of this Festival and leading Polish artists will be featured in the upcoming concerts. They include the young virtuoso violinist Janusz Wawrowski and the AUKSO Chamber Orchestra led by maestro Marek Moś. They will perform The Four Seasons Recomposed—a contemporary take by Max Richter on Antonio Vivaldi’s timeless classic.
