Agnieszka Podlucka, viola

This year’s edition of the prestigious iPalpiti Festival (July 5-20, 2019) will feature Agnieszka Podłucka, a young superstar violist from Łódź, Poland, performing at venues throughout Southern California. On July 10,  Podłucka will share the stage with Hungarian violinist Samuel Nebyu and Trio Zadig from France, performing Rachmaninoff’s Trio elegiaque, Bernstein’s Candide, and more. On July 16, Nebyu and Podłucka will again join forces for Handel-Halvorsen’s Passacaglia at UCLA.

Presented by iPalpiti Artists International, this year’s Festival includes twenty-four select international laureates from 22 countries including Ecuador, Turkey, Italy, Japan, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Belgium, France, Armenia, and Poland. Under the direction of Maestro Eduard Schmieder, this acclaimed ensemble of soloists is often referred to as the “United Nations of Classical Music.” Since its inception as a non-profit in Los Angeles in 1997 by Russian émigré musicians Eduard and Laura Schmieder, with the blessing and support of the late, great violinist Lord Yehudi Menuhin, iPalpiti has been supporting, promoting and developing the careers of exceptional young professional classical musicians. iPalpiti’s humanitarian mission of cultural exchange has created a truly universal network of more than 380 artists from all over the world, promoting international understanding through music.
