Zygmunt Krauze is preparing two new compositions for the beginning of the season. On September 2, during the 12th CODES Festival of Traditional and Avant-garde Music, audiences will hear the premiere of Copernicus – Our Planet for 6 mixed voices and string orchestra. The work will be performed by proMODERN vocal ensemble and the ‘Sinfonia Iuventus’ Polish Orchestra at the hall of the Henryk Wieniawski Philharmonic in Lublin. The composition will be repeated and broadcast on September 5 from the Polish Radio Concert Studio in Warsaw.
On September 18, the Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice and Jarosław Bręk will present the premiere of Exordium for baritone and symphony orchestra. Although the Philharmonic does not yet list any information about events in September, hopefully this will become available soon.
Krauze’s compositions were co-funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the ‘Composers Commissions’ program.
