Warsaw Memories: Klezmer Glitch Music commemorates the 82nd anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising with a powerful evening of music and multimedia performance. The concert will feature the San Diego debut of renowned Polish avant-garde composer and cellist Marcin Krzyżanowski, a leading figure in the Low Definition Art and Noise Music movement.
Sharing the stage with Krzyżanowski are vocalist Elizabeth Schwartz and violinist Yale Strom. The program blends klezmer, Yiddish vocals, experimental electronics, and video art into an improvised performance that explores themes of memory, resistance, and cultural identity.
Krzyżanowski’s work spans contemporary music festivals, film, theater, and cross-genre collaborations around the world. His approach to sound emphasizes intuition, experimentation, and the fusion of diverse musical traditions.
The concert takes place at San Diego State University’s Rhapsody Hall and is free and open to the public.
