A workshop performance of A Single Man, a contemporary opera by Polish composer Wojciech Stępień to a libretto by Amanda Hollander based on the novel by Christopher Isherwood, will take place on Sunday, April 27 at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles. Admission is free, but attendees are asked to RSVP in advance.

Wojciech Stępień is a composer and music theorist. He studied composition and music theory at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and earned his PhD at the University of Helsinki. During the 2022–2023 academic year, he was a Fulbright scholar at UCLA. His compositional work focuses primarily on vocal music, including songs and operas.

The opera will be presented in a staged workshop format. The cast includes:

The performance will be conducted by Chris Rountree and directed by Peter Kazaras.
