We’ve received news from composer Marta Ptaszyńska about the premiere of her newest composition. Trzy Wizje Według Dantego [Three Visions According to Dante] is Ptaszyńska’s double concerto for saxophone, piano and orchestra and it will be premiered on November 30, 2023 at NOSPR Hall. The performers are Bartłomiej Duś, Magdalena Duś, and the NOSPR orchestra under the baton of Bas Wiegers.
The concert will take place in Katowice. Located in the heart of this post industrial region, NOSPR Hall constitutes a new landmark for music lovers in Poland as it’s not only aesthetically stunning, but also was designed to maximize its acoustic capabilities for recording and performing live music.
In addition to Ptaszynska’s premiere, the audience will also have a chance to hear Serenade for Orchestra by Grażyna Bacewicz and the symphonic poem Siegfried Idyll by Richard Wagner.
The entire concert will be broadcast on Polish Radio 2 (Polskie Radio Dwójka) on November 30 at 10:30 AM PST.
