The August Upheavals concert, organized by the Opera House at the Castle, will take place on 1 September in Solidarity Square.
The concert features compositions from the most famous works of Polish cinematography guided by Jerzy Wołosiuk (artistic director of the Opera at the Castle in Szczecin) and Tomasz Raczek (film critic).
This year will feature Wojciech Kilar’s song W Stepie szerokim (from Przygody pana Michała) and the theme from Kronika wypadków miłości, Krzesimir Dębski’s suite from Kingsajz, A Mournful Rhapsody in Memory of Józef Bem (performed by Czesław Niemen), Walls by Jacek Kaczmarski and Dream about Victoria by Dżem. The last two will be performed by Mariusz Ostrowski with the opera’s orchestra.
