The 12th International Sacrum non Profanum Festival is taking place from July 31 until August 13 in various venues in Germany and Poland, including Berlin, Szczecin and the Pomeranian seaside resort of Trzęsacz. Over the years, this Festival has become one of the most important summer music events in Poland. Besides featuring music by Witold Lutosławski, the artistic output of a number of Polish artists will be presented in concerts by over four hundred performers from all across the world who, besides music, represent visual and cinematic arts as well. The Amadeus and Academia Orchestras are scheduled to appear along the Diverso and Meccore String Quartets. Other participants include French clarinetist Jean-Marc Fessard, the Austrian Threex Ensemble, German vocalists Anna Hofmann, Katharina Thomas, Christoph Schröter, and Tobias Oliver Hagge, as well Dorota Miśkiewicz with the Kwadrofonik Ensemble, and Mieczysław Szczęśniak with the Krzysztof Herdzin Trio. Concerts will take place in the Herz Jesu Kirche in Berlin, St. Jakub’s Cathedral, Pomeranian Philharmonic and Pomeranian Royal Castle halls in Szczecin, and in a Mercy Church at Trzęsacz, among others.
