The International Association of Music Libraries will hold its Annual Congress in Rome in early July. The Polish Music Center will be represented by Director Marek Zebrowski at a July 7 session devoted to the PMC’s Manuscript Collection and Composers’ Archives. Chaired by Marie Cornaz from the Bibliothèque royale de Belgique in Brussels, the presentations will include such topics as the musical archives of the Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice and Le Fonds Olivier Messaen at the Bibliothèque nationale of France.

Dir. Zebrowski’s “Polish Music Center at USC and Its Unique Manuscript Collection” will highlight the extraordinary collections of manuscripts and memorabilia of such composers as Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Zygmunt Stojowski, Henryk Wars [Henry Vars], Bronisław Kaper, and Roman Ryterband, among many others. The session is scheduled for 9 a.m. at the Teatro Studio in the Parco della Musica complex that also serves as prestigious venue for musical and theatrical performances.
