The Krakow Branch of the Polish Composers’ Union has announced the 2nd Krzysztof Penderecki International Competition for Young Composers. This year’s competition is a 9- to 14-minute composition for string quartet (two violins, viola and cello). The jury will grant one Main Prize which consists of 1,000 USD and a premiere in May 2019 during the 31st International Festival of Krakow Composers.
