Agata Zubel has been honored with the European Composers Award 2018 for the premiere of her newest composition “Fireworks” in Berlin during the Young Euro Classic Festival.
On 6 September, Zubel will premiere “Bildbeschreibung” in Bolzano as part of the TransArt Festival. The song will premiere in Poland on 27 September at the Warsaw Autumn Festival. Performing are Zubel (S), Frank Wörner (Bar), and Klangforum Wien under the baton of Titus Engel.
The work is in direct conversation with the text of Heiner Müller, in which the playwright creates and analyzes possible scenarios relating to the couple immortalized in the painting.
