Also on April, a concert of contemporary music organized by the Ensemblage Foundation took place in the Austrian Forum of Culture in Warsaw. The concert was part of the “Perspectives” series, which aims to promote contemporary music and performers specializing in it. The “Perspectives” series is the outcome of the international friendship of members of the young generation of composers. In 2015, four concerts were held as a part of the series: in Lucca, Genoa (Italy) and Warsaw. The 2015 repertoire featured works by Italian and Polish composers.
During the April 27 concert, works from Australia, Mexico, Poland and Italy received their world premiere: Somniare by Kirsten Milenko, Órganum by Alejandro Very, Sun-chants by Andrzej Karałow, Four temperaments by Aleksandra Chmielewska, Tagtraum by Żaneta Rydzywska (L-R above), Imaginhearing by Girolamo Deraca and Falling leavesby Antonio Bellandiego.
The concert was performed by the Dziołak/Stankiewicz Duo. Clarinetist Jacek Dziołak and accordion player Mateusz Stankiewicz are students of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. The ensemble is under the artistic guidance of Rafał Grządka, and has been the winner of many international music competitions since forming in 2011.
