A very rare opportunity to hear Michal Urbaniak and his Urbanator Group in Washington D.C. happened on Thursday, May 21 at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club.  It was the first time in years that this living legend of Polish Jazz, co-founder of Fusion style, the only Polish jazz musician who ever recorded with Miles Davis himself, performed in the US capital. As a violin and saxophone player, Urbaniak has collaborated, performed and recorded with the likes of Lenny White, Ron Carter, Kenny Kirkland, Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller and many more. He was joined on stage by Yaiyoi Ikawa (keyboards), Abdule Zhuri (guitar), Al MacDowell (bass) and Mike Flythe (drums).
