The Warsaw Summer Jazz Days Festival (July 7-10, 2016) is happening for the 25th time this year and, as always, this July concert series brings leading international jazz stars to town, mixed in with performances by local talent. This year’s performers include Piotr Wojtasik’s Tribute to Akwarium Project, the Steve Lehman Octet, Steve Coleman Five Elements, Robin Eubanks and Mental Images, John Medeski’s Mad Skillet, Marc Ribot & the Young Philadelphians, the James “Blood” Ulmer Odyssey Trio, Mutshspiell/Grigorian/Towner, John McLaughlin & the 4th Dimension, and the winners of IMiT’s Jazz Phonographic Debut: Forest Tuner and the Mateusz Pliniewicz Quartet. Concerts are held in the Congress Hall of the Soho Factory complex in Praga.
