On November 8, Sinfonia Toronto will present a concert program highlighting Fryderyk Chopin’s Polish Songs in a new orchestration by Jakub Kowalewski. This performance will feature Polish soprano Dominika Zamara, an accomplished vocalist known for her work in opera and art song performances across Europe and the Americas.

The concert will also include Kalinnikov’s Serenade for String Orchestra, and Shostakovich’s Piano Quintet in G Minor, transcribed for orchestra by Sinfonia Toronto’s Maestro Nurhan Arman. Acclaimed pianist Anya Alexeyev, known for her performances with orchestras throughout North America and Europe, will join the orchestra to perform Shostakovich’s quintet.

Sinfonia Toronto is one of Canada’s premier chamber orchestras, celebrated for its innovative programming and versatile performances. Led by Maestro Nurhan Arman, the orchestra is known for its wide-ranging repertoire, from classical masterpieces to contemporary works.
