On November 11, 2025, the Art Mintaka Foundation presented the world premiere of Rafał Gorzycki’s contemporary opera Lustro [The Mirror] in the Opera Hall of the New Campus of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. The performance, directed by Kamila Siwińska with a libretto by Małgorzata Sikorska-Miszczuk, brought together several leading Polish ensembles and artists for an evening that explored a story of scientific discovery and self-revelation.
The opera was performed by the New Music Orchestra (OMN) and the Chamber Choir of the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz under the direction of Szymon Bywalec. The cast included sopranos Joanna Freszel and Dorota Nowak, actor Witold Szulc, baritone Paweł Piotrowski, guitarist Marek Malinowski, and saxophonist Mikołaj Sarad. Rafał Gorzycki created the electronic layer live, while Kamil Kęska designed the spatial sound environment.
