On Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., acclaimed Polish jazz vocalist Aga Zaryan will appear live in concert at Kulak’s Woodshed in North Hollywood, California. Presented by the Paderewski Music Society and Moonrise Press, this special event marks the first public performance of material from Picking Up the Pieces 2, Zaryan’s upcoming album featuring the same renowned lineup she first collaborated with nearly two decades ago: bassist Darek Oleszkiewicz, guitarist Larry Koonse, and percussionist Munyungo Jackson.
With seating for just 49 guests, Kulak’s Woodshed offers a unique and intimate setting for this performance, complete with multi-camera and high-quality audio recording and broadcasting. Tickets ($55) are available through the Paderewski Society website: PaderewskiMusicSociety.org.
Originally released in 2006/2011, Picking Up the Pieces earned double platinum status in Poland and launched Zaryan’s international career. The forthcoming sequel promises a return to the emotionally rich, jazz-infused sound that made the original a critical and commercial success.
