The 35th edition of the International Music Course in Opole, held in conjunction with the 18th Silesian Summer of Music Festival, will take place from August 5 to 16, 2025. Supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage through the Culture Promotion Fund, this special anniversary year welcomes both solo performers and chamber ensembles. The program offers at least five individual lessons per participant, ensemble rehearsals and sessions with accompanists, chamber music coaching under the ‘Play with a Master’ initiative, as well as lectures, workshops, and public concerts. The application deadline is June 24.
The distinguished faculty includes:
Violin – Tomasz Tomaszewski, Włodzimierz Promiński, Krzysztof Polonek, Christian Danowicz, and Martyna Pastuszka
Piano – Hubert Rutkowski, Katarzyna Ewa Sokołowska, Paweł Zawadzki, Volker Stenzl, and Katarzyna Drogosz
Viola – Michał Micker
Cello – Bartosz Koziak, Tomasz Pokrzywiński, and Katarzyna Polonek
Double Bass – Leszek Sokołowski
Participants may take individual lessons with multiple instructors and have the option to purchase additional lessons. A chamber orchestra project is also available; participation is subject to selection by the project’s director due to limited capacity. Concerts featuring both faculty and students are scheduled throughout the course, with programs traditionally highlighting contemporary Polish repertoire.
