Tomasz Kamieniak, a Polish pianist and composer based mainly in Berlin, Germany, will appear as soloist in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4, Op. 58 with the London International Concert Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Alexander Walker. The May 4 concert will be heard at the Hampstead Garden Suburb Free Church in London’s North Square. The program will also include Mahler’s Fourth Symphony with soprano soloist, Justine Viani.
Exactly two weeks later, on May 18, the Archetti Chamber Orchestra and Maestro Maciej Tomasiewicz, will open their concert at the Atelier Kultury in Jaworzno, Poland, with Tomasz Kamieniak’s own composition, Krajobrazy według Caspara Davida Friedricha, Op. 84 [Landscapes According to Caspar David Friedrich]. The evening’s program will be rounded off by Peter Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence, a brilliant work for string sextet (or string orchestra), completed in 1890 and dedicated to the St. Petersburg’s Chamber Music Society.
