Alternative pop music artist Nina Anto has made quite a splash in Los Angeles! Her unique, low-range voice provides an evocative contrast to the standard pop sound. Her classical music training and Polish upbringing also lend depth to her emotive song arrangements and interesting concert offerings. In addition, she has worked with prominent Polish cinematographers to create lush videos of her music, available on YouTube.
On August 15 at Solidarity Restaurant in Los Angeles, Nina Anto will perform a combination of her original songs and Polish songs, offering historical and cultural context to enrich the audience’s understanding of Polish culture wrapped up in a breezy summer evening pop concert.
In addition to her performing career, Nina Anto is currently completing her Master’s degree as Performer-Composer at CalArts, and has developed myAUDIOSIGN to provide companies with sonic branding and music production services. She has had the honor of receiving a scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage to perform in Oslo, London, Paris, Basel and Warsaw, as a European tour entitled Nina Anto & Sensitivity captured by Polish artists. She is also a scholarship recipient from the Rafal Brzoska Foundation.
