Following on the heels of their riveting performance this past weekend at the Holocaust Museum in Los Angeles, the duo of Joanna Freszel (soprano) and Łukasz Chrzęszczyk (piano) continue their tour northward up the West Coast of the US. These two outstanding young Polish artists are individually winners of some of most prestigious awards in Poland and beyond. Together, they are a musical powerhouse, pursuing numerous creative projects that are centered on music from the nineteenth century up to the present.

The final two concerts of their US tour will take place in Seattle and San Francisco. Presented by the Polish Home Association on December 5, their Seattle concert program will include works by Paderewski, Chopin, Tansman and Lutosławski, among others. Then, on December 7 at the Steinway Piano Gallery, the duo will return to California for a program that highlights works by Jewish composers, including Tansman, Weinberg and Friedmann, as well as those by Paderewski and Chopin—all born in Poland, these were some of the greatest composers and pianists of their time, who all perished away from their homeland.

These concerts are rare opportunities to hear these incredible musicians perform in the US, and are not to be missed!
