Born in Poland and based in New York City, Kinga Augustyn is a violinist who has performed alongside several orchestras around the world including Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin, Magdeburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra Leopoldinum, the Wrocław Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Riverside Symphonia. Additionally, Augustyn has received several honors and awards including First Prizes at the Alexander & Buono International String Competition (NYC), Artist International Presentations (NYC), J. S. Bach String Competition (Zielona Gora, Poland), and the 2017 “Young Poland” contest in Poland. Augustyn is an alumnus of The Julliard School for both her Bachelor and Master degrees.

75th Anniversary of “Łowiecka”
“Łowiecka” is the nickname of Augustyn’s secondary music school in Poland, where she first learned to play the violin. She was there for 11 years before relocating to the United States. Alongside several other soloists, Augustyn will perform Pablo de Sarasate Zigeunerweisen, Op. 20 for Violin and Orchestra, conducted by Marcin Grabosz. More information soon.

Lower Silesia Philharmonic Debut
In Augustyn’s debut with this fine orchestra and under the baton of Maestro Przemysław Neumann. Together with the Lower Silesian Philharmonic, she will perform two works by Polish composer Romuald Twardowski: Capriccio in blue—inspired by music of the American jazz and classical composer, George Gershwin—and his Violin Concerto.
