The results for the First Composer’s Competition for an Instrumental Duo with Harp, have been announced. Organized by the Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, this competition consisted of submitting an original compositional work for two instruments, with one of them being harp. Sixteen works were submitted and judged by high profile members of the Jury: Prof. Elżbieta Sikora (chairwoman), Prof, Aleksander Lasoń and Dr. Anna Sikorzak-Olek. The results are as follows:
- First Prize – not awarded
- Second Prize – Piotr Kasiłowski for the piece Rozstanie z Rzymem and Anna Stolarczyk for the piece Nie-boskie szkice
- Third Prize – Sylwester Kukułka for the piece Event horizon, Szymon Kusior for the piece Night Landscapes and Wojciech Laskowski for the piece Choral Fantasy
- Honorable Mention – Magdalena Białecka for the piece Pulsar
The award ceremony will take place during the final Competition concert on April 22, 2022 at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music.
