The Ave Arte Foundation in Poland is organizing another edition of their annual International Paderewski Festival in Warsaw. It will be held in several prestigious venues across Poland’s capital November 3-13. The inaugural concert will take place at the Royal Castle on November 3 and feature a selection of songs by Paderewski and Poulenc as well as chamber music by various other composers.

Another chamber concert is planned for the Wilanów Palace on November 4, featuring a variety of works by Dvořak, Nielsen, Lutosławski, Paderewski, and Lecuona. On November 8 at the Polish Radio Concert Studio S1, a concert of solo piano works and Paderewski’s Suite for Chamber Orchestra will be presented by the National Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra led by Ian Hobson. This concert will also feature orchestral works by Karłowicz and Shostakovich.

The roster of the 2021 Paderewski Festival performers includes the Ewa Biegas/Grzegorz Biegas vocal-piano duo, accordionist Klaudiusz Baran, violinist Wojciech Koprowski, cellist Tomasz Strahl, pianists Martyna Kubik, Bartłomiej Kokot, Ilya Maximov, Piotr Sałajczyk, and Atom and Erlendis string quartets.

Other accompanying events include a matinee concert for young audiences on November 4, an “Interactive Concert for the Newborn and Children” at the Łazienki Palace on November 7, as well as film screenings and poetry readings. More information at: www.avearte.pl
