The first concert in the “Stream on Tour” series will be held on 22 July 2021. Grzesiek Mart and Piotr Peszat, together with representatives of the contemporary Polish classical music scene, will perform audio-visual concerts streamed live online.
“Stream on Tour” is looking for an original way of using live video. Can streaming be a new kind of art? How will streamed art be different from streaming? On 22 July, “Stream on Tour” will visit Katowice.
Peszat and Mart have been working together for a long time, experimenting with ways to combine music and video composition. “Stream on Tour” will present the premieres of Peszat’s works written for classical instruments, electronics and stream art. The concert in Katowice will feature Piotr Peszat’s Beautiful Music / Easy Listening # 1 “Argo” for alto saxophone, audio playback, video and stream art, performed by Bartłomiej Duś, professor of saxophone at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. The excellent saxophonist will also perform Monodrama for saxophone and electronics in a duet with the composer of the piece, Stanisław Bromboszcz, assistant professor at the Academy of Music in Katowice.
The event was supported as part of the “Musicgrants” competition organized by the Katowice City of Gardens Institution of Culture.
