Presentations of new works in the series “Contemporary Chamber Miniature in the Times of Pandemic. Premieres” continued in September and ended on October 1, International Music Day. Organized by the Academy of Music in Poznań, the premieres in this series were presented by outstanding professors of the Academy and broadcast via the Academy’s website, Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Those presented in the final part of series celebrating composers associated with the Academy of Music in Poznań were: prof. dr hab. Monika Kędziora – Miniatura for marimba solo, performed by percussionist Piotr Sołkowicz (Sept 3); dr. Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska – Do A.S. [To G.A.], or Do Anioła Stróża [To the Guardian Angel], for viola and harpsichord, performed by violist Lech Bałaban and harpsichordist Maria Banaszkiewicz-Bryła (Sept 10); dr. Michał Janocha – Mikstury skontrastowane for violin solo, performed by violinist Mateusz Gidaszewski (Sept 17); prof. dr hab. Artur Kroschel – Objęcia for trumpet and trombone, performed trumpeter Damian Kurek and trombonist Wojciech Jeliński (Sept 24); and prof. Zbigniew Kozub – Messages for alto saxophone and piano, performed by saxophonist Rafał Rachwał and pianist Anna Kozub.
