This Sunday, October 4, 2020, violinist Kinga Augustyn will serenade virtual audiences with music by Wieniawski, Massenet and Beethoven, with Dmitri Glivinskiy at the piano. The short Livestream recital is available to watch from the comfort of one’s home and accessible on phone or computer.
Born in Poland and based in New York City, Kinga Augustyn is a violinist who has performed alongside several orchestras around the world including Deutsches Kammerorchester Berlin, Magdeburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra Leopoldinum, the Wrocław Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Riverside Symphonia. Additionally, Augustyn has received several honors and awards including First Prizes at the Alexander & Buono International String Competition (NYC), Artist International Presentations (NYC), J. S. Bach String Competition (Zielona Gora, Poland), and the 2017 “Young Poland” contest in Poland. Augustyn is an alumnus of The Julliard School for both her Bachelor and Master degrees.
