My name is Maria Opalka. I’m a musicologist, music producer and a public relations specialist. I love music and I’m fascinated by culture, especially in its dynamic, modern dimension. I love yoga and the scent of rain. I cannot imagine a day without a book. I believe that impossible things don’t exist. In my work I link the world of arts and modern PR communication techniques, and in my research I draw upon the achievements of cognitive science.

Musicologist and music creative Maria Opałka has published a new website, where she shares her extensive writing projects, the various award-winning classical music recordings that she has produced, and many other talents. Currently available only in Polish, the website will also be available in English in the near future. Please visit www.mariaopalka.com to learn more.

Since 2012, Maria Opałka was the executive producer and manager for the classical music division of EMI, Parlophone, and Warner Music Poland. She supervised the PR campaigns for such artists as Aleksander Debicz, Szymon Komasa, and Janusz Wawrowski, and coordinated recording release campaigns for the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Sinfonia Varsovia, Sinfonia Iuventus, among others. She was also executive producer for the Grammy Award-winning album, “Penderecki Conducts Penderecki.”

A graduate of Warsaw University in musicology and postgraduate public relations studies at that university, Opałka also studied piano at the Łódź Music Academy as well as organ performance and sacred music at the Stefan Wyszynski University. Between the years 2011-2019, she served as President of the Fundacja ForMusic, where she carried out various projects promoting art and classical music.
