Recruitment for the 2020/2021 season for the 9th edition of the Sinfonia Varsovia Academy will be open until 31 May 2020. The project is aimed at students and graduates of music academies, violin, cello, oboe and horn classes with Polish citizenship who are under 26 years old as of 31 December 2020.

The course starts with a concert project taking place between 23 and 30 August 2020. The project includes one-to-one instrumental sessions with concertmasters and section leaders of the Sinfonia Varsovia Orchestra, section rehearsals, rehearsals of the Sinfonia Varsovia Academy chamber orchestra, performing at the concert on 30 August, and professional workshops to prepare students for a career as members of orchestras. The special guest of the inaugural week will be Ralph van Daal, professor of oboe at the Maastricht Conservatory. The organizers provide food and accommodation for participants not living in Warsaw.

Due to precautions related to the coronavirus pandemic taken throughout the country, this year traditional auditions for the Sinfonia Varsovia Academy will be replaced by the preliminaries based on video recordings sent by email.
