Several Polish artists from all over there opera world have been honored with nominations for the 2020 International Opera Award. The nominated artists represented the following categories:
Stage Designer:
- Małgorzata Szczęśniak (constant collaborator of renowned stage director Krzysztof Warlikowski)
Newcomer:
- Dariusz Przybylski (composer)
Recording (Complete Opera):
- Moniuszko: Halka (Fryderyk Chopin Institute)
Recording (Solo Recital):
- Jakub Józef Orliński: Facce d’amore (Erato)
Rediscovered Work:
- Moniuszko: Paria (Poznań Opera House)
All 2020 nominees are listed at www.operaawards.org. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on May 4 at Sadler’s Wells, alongside a performance by Polish soprano Aleksandra Kurzak.
