Pianos of Freedom is part of the 10th Soundedit Festival and will premiere on 1 September. It features ten musical events (ten pianists, performing ten composers) organized to celebrate the centenary of independence and the best Polish piano music of the last century.
Keyboardists Rozalia Kręc, Władysław Komendarek, Zygmunt Krauze and Szábolcs Esztényi will be performing, as well as Maciej Tubis (playing compositions by Aleksander Tansman) and Adam Kośmieja (performing works by Kazimierz Serocki). The program will also include Szymanowski’s mazurkas, Lutosławski’s early music, Krauze’s sound experiments, and works by Sikorski, Katarina Głowicka, and Władysław Komendarek.
