On July 19 at the Sinfonia Varsovia Concert Pavilion, the Orchestra of the Americas will perform under the direction of Hobart Earle.
An orchestra of 100 musicians from 25 countries across North, Central and South America, will perform in Poland as part of their European tour. The program includes works Sinfonia India by Carlos Chavez and Bachianas Brasileiras No. 2 by Hectora Villa-Lobos. Three Pieces in the Old Style by Krzysztof Penderecki and the First Piano Concerto in D minor by Brahms will be performed by Polish pianist Łukasz Krupiński, winner of the International Piano Competition in San Marino.
The Orchestra’s artistic adviser is Placido Domingo. Sitting on the artistic council are the presidents of Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Panama, and the United States. The concert is co-organized by: Stowarzyszenie im. Ludwig van Beethoven, Polish Radio S.A., Sinfonia Varsovia.
