The Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra opens its 2017/2018 Season with a September 16 concert at the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw. Maestro Mirosław Jacek Błaszczyk will lead the ensemble in two large works that are also warhorses of the concert repertoire: Brahms’s Violin Concerto Op. 77 with violin soloist Jakub Jakowicz and Lutosławski’s Concerto for Orchestra.

Since 2008 Sinfonia Iuventus has collaborated with a number of outstanding Polish conductors, including Gabriel Chmura, Kazimierz Kord, Jan Krenz, Antoni Wit and Monika Wolińska. The orchestra also toured the festival circuit throughout Poland, Austria, China, France, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, Ukraine, and Italy. They also recorded a number of CDs for Universal Music, Accord, DUX, Polish Radio, Albany Records, and TVP Kultura. Recently, Sinfonia Iuventus’s collaboration with Krzysztof Penderecki led to a complete recording of his symphonies as well as his Clarinet and Flute concertos. Since 2009, the orchestra has joined the European Federation of National Youth Orchestras (FENYO).
