Young Polish film composer Miro Kępiński was recently recognized by the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival Award for his soundtrack to a documentary The Wounds We Cannot See, directed by Alexander Freeman. Kępiński was also given two honorable mentions for his music to this film by the Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards and by the Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival. The film itself was given the Best Feature Documentary Award at the Long Beach Indie International Film Festival in September 2016. The trailer for his award-winning work can be viewed here.

A film composer and music producer, Kępiński is a native of Mława, Poland, where he first studied guitar at the Mława Music School. He later attended the Katowice Music Academy, where he majored in jazz. In his film soundtracks, Mr. Kępiński uses elements of classical, electronic and rock music.
