The 24th edition of the International Chamber Music Festival “Silesian Quartet and Guests” will be held between November 20 and December 3 at the Chamber Hall of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. The theme of this year’s program is the elements (fire, air, earth, water, and dancing) and will consist of five concerts featuring various works from the classical era. The program will also highlight the works of the composer group “Generation ’51,’” in which the Silesian Quartet will perform Aleksander Lasoń’s String Quartet No. 5 on November 26. Throughout the festival, the Silesian Quartet will give performances alongside other excellent performers from around the world, including guitarist Marianna Kowal, violinist Aleksandra Kuls, bassist Jan Kotula, flutist Janos Balint, harpist Zuzanna Elster, cellist Peter Janosik, pianist Eduardo Hubert, and many more.
