The eleventh edition of the Gorczycki Festival will include seventeen concerts in eleven cities, featuring excellent artists from Poland and abroad. The festival starts on November 18, 2016 and will serve a big dose of Polish music as well as masterpieces by Mozart to celebrate his 260th birthday. The festival will start in Chorzów and will last until December 4, when the final concert will be held in Bytom.

Performers include: Gabrieli Players, Le Parlement de Musique, Paul McCreesh, Marcin Wyrostek, Renata Pokupić, Janusz Wawrowski and more familiar for the local audience – Capella Craviensis, Sinfonietta Cracovia, Aukso, Camerata Silesia and the National Symphony Orchestra of Polish Radio (NOSPR).

What is characteristic of the festival is the presence of guests from abroad (Paul Esswood, Le Parlement Musique and Martin Gester) who will perform Polish music, among it the works by Grzegorz Gerwacy Gorczycki, whose works unchangeably are the main pillar of the repertoire. However, audiences will also hear the greatest works of international music literature. The festival will be accompanied by a series of charitable concerts called “Śladami Gorczyckiego,” which will be held in the Hospital located at Bytomska Street 62 in Piekary Śląskie.

The detailed program of the festival is available on the website www.gorczycki.pl.
