The Tokyo New City Orchestra (TNCO) will share the stage with Polish pianist Krystian Zimerman and Polish conductor Grzegorz Nowak on November 1 at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall. The program will include Berlioz’s Overture “Roman Carnival” op.9 and Mussorgsky’s  Pictures at an Exhibition (Arr.: Gorchakov). In commemoration of the five year anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake reconstruction, Zimerman will also dedicate a performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.4 in G major, op.58 to the earthquake victims. The program originally included Concerto of Song Offerings for piano solo, choir and orchestra by Eugeniusz Knapik, but the piece was unfortunately withheld due to performing rights.
