The Fryderyk Chopin University is inviting all audiences for a concert on October 3 at 7 p.m. in the UMFC Concert Hall. Entitled “The Music of Spheres by Roman Maciejewski,” the concert will feature students from the music university in Warsaw and the University of Fine Arts in Berlin (UdK Berlin), supervised by Marcin Zalewski and Frank-Immo Zichner from UdK Berlin.
This event is presented by Olgierd Łukaszewicz, in association with other cultural events celebrating the 25th anniversary of the partnership between the cities of Berlin and Warsaw, organized by the Universität der Künste w Berlinie, Convivium Berlin e. V., Verein für Interkulturelle Begegnungen e. V., and the Warsaw Monopoly Association. The program will include works by Roman Maciejewski – Mazurkas no. 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10 for piano (1928-1990), Nocturne for flute, guitar and celesta (1951), Duo concertante for two pianos (1936), Bilitis Songs for soprano and piano (1932), and Spanish Suite for two guitars (1948).
