During the 26th edition of the Mozart Festival, the ‘MOZART OFF’ project presented a number of young and talented artists associated with Warsaw Chamber Opera in free concerts scattered all over Warsaw. The Festival is one of the most popular and well-attended summer concert series in Poland’s capital city. Concerts on July 16 at the Culture Park in Powsin, July 17 near the Ursynów District Office, July 30 at the Praga District Museum and July 31 at the Warsaw University Library included soloists Grzegorz Hardej, Paweł Czekała, Wanda Franek, Adrianna Ferfecka, Olga Siemieńczuk, Damian Suchożebrski, and Łukasz Hajduczenia, while the orchestra was composed of the following musicians: Monika Boroni, Karolina Boroni, Ewa Żołyniak-Adamska, Michał Piotrowski, Agnieszka Obst-Chwała, Katarzyna Kalinowska, Marcin Sochan, Anna Wieczorek, Wojciech Witek, Katarzyna Cichoń, Jakub Kościukiewicz, Łukasz Madej, Paweł Książkiewicz, Rafael Gabriel Przybyła, Agnieszka Szwajgier, Dominika Stencel, Robert Michalski, Lubomir Jarosz,and Krzysztof Niezgoda.
This project was created in collaboration with the Il Giardino d’Amore Orchestraand Warsaw Chamber Opera. A variety of singers, ballet dancers, mimes, choir and the orchestra was used to illustrate Mozart’s life through his music, including the best-known arias from several operas, as well as all kinds of orchestral works.
