From May 12-26, 2016, the Gorzów Philharmonic Orchestra hosted the Kilar Contemporary Music Festival. This Festival has become one of the most important musical events in the region. The idea is to promote the music of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries—the composers and their achievements, as well as the artists specializing in its interpretation.
During this year’s edition, works were performed by such composers as: Miłosz Bembinow, Andrzej Borzym Jr., Krzesimir Dębski, Krzysztof Herdzin, Anna Ignatowicz, Aleksander Kościów, Paweł Łukaszewski, Stanisław Moryto, and Tomasz Opałka as well as the World Premieres listed below:
