On June 11 from 2:00 to 10:00 pm, the Polish Day in LA Festival will be held in the downtown Long Beach East Village Art District, on Linden Avenue between 1st and Broadway. This event celebrating Polish-American heritage will include such musical performances as the Wessex Consort accompanying Irene Ujda’s ‘Vistula Danza’ ensemble as they perform Polish traditional dances (4:00 & 5:30 p.m.) and give dance lessons throughout the afternoon. There will be art and other creative works in the Hellada Gallery, random creative magic on the street, and a replica display of the finely crafted armor used by the 17th Century Polish Winged Hussars. Enjoy crafts and booths and live musicians, as well as Polish beer, Polish food, and more.
