The 2016 Festival ‘Zilele Muzicii Noi’ [Days of New Music] (June 4-7) in Chisinau, Moldova featured a Polish Music Day on June 4. The following Polish composers were on the program: Grażyna Bacewicz – Concerto for String Orchestra; Tadeusz Baird – Colas Breugnon; Witold Lutosławski – Five Folk Melodies; Andrzej Panufnik – Concerto for Bassoon and Chamber Orchestra; Henryk Mikołaj Górecki – Three Pieces in the Old Style; and Wojciech Kilar – Ricordanza for Strings. Also performed was Glance Behind the Curtain by Moldovan composer Ghenadie Ciobanu. The concert was performed by the Elbląg Chamber Orchestra with conductor Paweł Kotla and bassoon soloist Arkadiusz Adamczyk.
