Organized by the Chicago Chopin Foundation, in cooperation with the Polish Museum of America, a concert dedicated to Frederic Chopin took place on February 28th in the PMA’s Sabina P. Logisz Great Hall in Chicago. Internationally acclaimed violinist Daniel Kurganov and violist Aurelien Fort Pederzoli were featured at this event, where they performed the musical masterpieces of Chopin to celebrate his music, his accomplishments, and his life.
The Chicago Chopin Foundation is currently working on a project to erect a replica of the iconic Art Nouveau Chopin Monument in Royal Baths Park in Warsaw, Poland. The 21 foot tall bronze statue would serve as a centerpiece for the Chopin Garden in Grant Park – a public space where Chicago shares the art of Chopin and other great music with the world.
