In collaboration with William Smialek, former PMC Director Maja Trochimczyk wrote the 2nd Edition of  Frédéric Chopin: A Research and Information Guide for the Routledge Music Bibliographies Series (ISBN 978-0-415-99884-0). is an annotated bibliography concerning both the nature of primary sources related to the composer and the scope and significance of the secondary sources which deal with him, his compositions, and his influence as a composer.

The multimedia lexicon Fryderyk Chopin. Life of the creator (National Chopin Institute, Warsaw), by the eminent Chopin scholar Mieczysław Tomaszewski, is an exceptional source of knowledge about the most outstanding Polish composer and is the fruit of many years of research into Chopin’s life and work. The elaborate structure of the lexicon comprises dozens of multi-layered screens, designed in detail by the author, filled with facts from the composer’s life, excerpts from correspondence, quotations and interpretations regarding his music, musical analysis of selected works and a voluminous Chopin bibliography.

In October, the English-language version of Helena Paderewska: Memoirs, 1910-1920 was published by Hoover Institution Press(ISBN: 978-0-8179-1864-4). Edited by Maciej Siekierski, curator of the Hoover Institution Library & Archives at Stanford University, these personal memoirs written by the wife of Ignacy Jan Paderewski give an insider’s view of how the world renowned pianist used his personal fame and charisma to gain access to the top political leadership of France, Britain, and the US and became an eloquent spokesman for the then-occupied country of his birth, as well as Prime Minister after its re-unification.

The Symanowski Companion (Ashgate Publishing) constitutes the most significant and comprehensive reference source to the composer in English. Edited by two of the leading scholars in the field, Paul Cadrin and Stephen Downes, the collection consists of over 50 contributions from an international array of contributors, including recognized Polish experts such as Teresa Chylińska.
